A New Party for the Center

Built for Kansans tired of political extremes.

It’s about time.

We are a new moderate political party for Kansans who believe in problem solving over partisanship. We are on the ballot in 2026.

Too often, politics is pulled to the extremes. Moderation is not weakness. It is conviction grounded in Kansas values. Public debate is increasingly driven by outrage and ideological purity, leaving the sensible center without a voice. United Kansas offers a practical alternative: principled moderation with a backbone.

United Kansas Party Biannual Organizing Meeting

United Kansas Party will hold its Biannual Organizing Meeting on Saturday, May 16th at 10:00 am at the Topeka Public Library, 1515 SW 10th Ave. Email info@UnitedKansas.com if you would like more information.

Our mission is to build a political home for Kansans who believe in pragmatic, principled leadership. We are strengthening the political center and advancing a more practical, optimistic approach to governing in Kansas.

We are inspired by President Eisenhower’s vision of:

“…a program of progressive moderation, liberal in its human concerns, conservative in its economic proposals, constructively dynamic and optimistic in its appraisal of the future.”

Our approach is guided by Principled Moderation. It is moderation with a backbone. A practical, optimistic governing philosophy rooted in Kansas values and focused on common-sense leadership.

This is not a traditional platform. We start with shared principles and apply them to real issues, giving candidates the flexibility to reflect their communities. Balancing direction, guardrails, and judgment is how United Kansas builds a stronger, more representative center.

Plan

In the last Kansas House election, 40% of seats went unchallenged. Closed primaries shut out independent voters entirely. Thousands of Kansans were left with only one candidate to “choose” from in the general election.

It doesn’t take a landslide to change that. A shift of just a few House seats can restore balance in Topeka and ensure that no party governs without meaningful opposition and accountability.

That is where we start.
